FIND YOUR TREASURE [20 Jun 2010|04:47am] this is my treasure box wherein every week I try to count and list all my blessings. Inspired by What did I learn today? blog from lj spotlight, my aim is to be grateful for everyday regardless of not-so-pleasing moments that comes my way. That no matter how ugly my day had been, there's always that one thing I could smile about. This is not being boustful about what i have, but being humble with my creator who had provided me with all i need and more. It's my way of saying my thank yous. Someone once said, contentment is looking at the things that you have, rather than the things other have. May it be experience, people, and even mistakes. In everything, just like in a rainbow, there'll always be a hidden treasure, you don't have to look further, you  just have to dig deeper into it. happy read~ 2 comments|post comment

YEARENDER [31 Dec 2007|10:25am] before the year ends, our church always make sure that'll end it with a bang. last year, we did the gratitude list in which i won third place with coming up with a 100 things i'm grateful for in 2006. Now, last sunday, they asked us to list all our answered prayers from 2007. by answered prayer means it can either be a yes, no, or soon. You see there's no such thing as unanswered prayer, God always respond, it might not be in the form we like or expected, but its always for the best of us. so here is the excerpt from the list i made last night, when everyone's going crazy celebrating the new years, i was in my room listing and reading a prayer book XD My YES -      new job       -        arni's baptism -      mom and da's healing       -        to be closer to my younger brother -      to invite someone to church       -        to share my faith to other people -      for me to grow spiritually - he gave me a new btalk, a fruit and a disciple       -        a new cellphone =) -      to be reunited with an old friend       -        sir arist's healing -      everyday financial survival       -        coping up with past memories -      brothers to consider       -        chi-chi's new job and dating life -      guidance and growth at work       -        to be friends with someone i hated from work. now we're closer than any of my officemates! -      watching FOB concert       -        forming deeper friendship with ethel -      to have at least a contact  from my ex flame My SOON -      to have another fruit       -        to be more affectionate especially to my fam -      build relationships in the kingdom       -        finally overcome hurts of the past -      mom's temper -      heart and unity of btalk       -        dream for the arts ministry to be fullfilled My NO i only have one on top of my head       -        spending christmas with my dad =( --------------------------------------- i really have a lot to list down but i have to pick up my brains and old notes for that. haha. all in all, i can say, that i'm really blessed with my 2007. i may not get everything i prayed for in the form that i want, but at least God answered most of them, and thats enough for me to be grateful. as the letter from the last sunday's lesson said: I got nothing i asked for But everything I hoped for Almost despite myself, My unspoken prayers were answered I am, among men, most richly blessed have a wonderful and blessed 2008 ahead!I'm really excited with all the plans God had prepared for me and each and everyone of us. May we look forward to them as days pass by. Cheers! p.s. i'm not doing this every week listing blog anymore, i figured since its 2008 already, i have to have a fresh start which means new creative idea to praise and thank God for everything He did and will continue doing.
